Through their Lens: Santa Fe Workshops

The International Folk Art Market celebrates artists, cultures, and stories from around the world—and this year, students from Santa Fe Workshops captured that experience through their own lenses.

As part of IFAM’s partnership with Santa Fe Workshops, photography students visited the Market to document the energy, artistry, and connections that make IFAM such a special event. Their photographs offer a fresh perspective on the Market, highlighting artists at work, intricate handmade pieces, joyful encounters, and the vibrant community that comes together each year in Santa Fe.

For these photographers, the Market became more than a place to take pictures. It was an opportunity to practice visual storytelling while engaging with artists and experiencing the diverse traditions represented at IFAM.

We’re grateful to Santa Fe Workshops and its talented students for helping us see IFAM from a new perspective. Their photographs remind us that every image can tell a story—and that the Market is filled with stories waiting to be discovered.
