Why Families Shouldn’t Miss Sunday Community Day at IFAM 2025
Sunday is for Families: Your Guide to IFAM’s Most Kid-Friendly Day
Looking for a fun, educational, and meaningful way to spend a Sunday with your kids? The International Folk Art Market’s Sunday Community Day (July 13) is the perfect opportunity to introduce your family to global cultures through art, conversation, and creativity.
Designed especially for families with children ages 4–12, Sunday at IFAM invites young minds to explore, ask questions, and connect with artists from over 50 countries through our Children’s Passport Program—a guided, interactive experience that turns the Market into a living classroom.
The best part? All tickets for the Market are FREE thanks to our friends at the New Mexico Tourism Department! You'll need to reserve an entry ticket. Visit folkartmarket.org/tickets to reserve yours today!
What Is the Children’s Passport Program?
Every child receives a special IFAM Passport Booklet to guide their journey through the Market. As they visit different neighborhoods, they'll be encouraged to:
Talk with artists about their culture, family, and creative traditions
Watch live art demonstrations and ask questions
Collect stamps from Market volunteers after each interaction
Once they’ve filled their passport with 10 stamps, kids return to the Passport booth to:
Create hands-on folk art crafts inspired by global traditions
Claim a surprise prize
Redeem their filled-out passport for a FREE lemonade from our friends at the Santa Fe Farmers’ Market Café—redeemable Sunday or the following Tuesday during their Summer Farmers’ Market hours!
