Supporting Artisans in Gaza: Rebuilding Hope

At the International Folk Art Market, we believe in the power of art to uplift communities and preserve cultural heritage. While we are not directly associated with Aid to Artisans and the Rebuilding Hope campaign, we want to share this critical initiative that aligns with our values of supporting artisans worldwide.

The "Rebuilding Hope" campaign focuses on supporting displaced artisan families in Gaza, particularly those connected to the Atfaluna Society for Deaf Children. Since the war broke out last October, the Atfaluna network has faced unimaginable challenges, including the destruction of their main office in Gaza City and the forced relocation of 50 artisan families to Rafah.

Despite these hardships, the artisans, many of whom live with hearing disabilities, continue to create beautiful, culturally significant crafts. Their resilience and hope for the future are evident in every piece they create. Donating to the Rebuilding Hope campaign provides essential income for these artisans, helping them sustain their families and preserve their craft during this difficult time.

We'd like to encourage you to learn more about this campaign and consider contributing. Every donation makes a difference in these dedicated artisans' and their families' lives.
