Two Decades: A Tapestry of Memories

We’re excited to present a 20th Anniversary IFAM special blog series dedicated to telling the amazing stories surrounding the International Folk Art Market community of artists, volunteers, supporters and folk art lovers.

In addition to sponsoring IFAM’s Innovation Tent since 2017, the Balzers also annually supply funds to the Museum of International Folk Art to purchase items at the IFAM Markets for their prestigious collection. The Balzers are holding Cruecelina’s basket, which the Museum curators selected in 2016. Each of these intricately woven baskets contains geometric patterning and motifs unique to the Wounaan Indigenous people for thousands of years.
