Satayam

A Heritage of Rajasthani Textiles

Growing up among Rajasthan's antique treasures in India, Satayam developed a profound appreciation for the cultural narratives embedded in each fabric. From royal ghagras to beautifully patterned skirts, Satayam was deeply influenced by the vibrant traditions of handcrafted textiles. This early introduction to block printing, resist dyeing, and Leheriya inspired a lasting commitment to preserving and enhancing these art forms.

At just 17, Satayam began collaborating with master artisans, learning from renowned figures such as  Ranamal Khatri of Barmer and Suraj Titanwala of Bagru. For 25 years, these partnerships have enriched Satayam’s understanding of Rajasthan’s heritage, enabling innovation while remaining grounded in tradition. By reviving native techniques and focusing on natural dyes, Satayam honors the artisans' craftsmanship and supports the sustainability of these ancient practices.

From Jaipur’s flowing Leheriya patterns to Akola’s detailed mud-resist prints, Satayam’s textiles represent more than beautiful garments—they embody tales of Rajasthan’s regal history, landscapes, and people. Every piece is a tribute to the dedication and traditions of the artisans who create them, ensuring that this cultural legacy endures for future generations.
