First International Folk Art Market, July 17-18, 2004, on Museum Hill’s Milner Plaza. Governor Bill Richardson declares the dates as the International Folk Art Market Weekend throughout the State of New Mexico. 61 juried folk artists from 36 countries were represented. Sales approached $1.5 million.


First organizing committee convened, uniting Santa Fe business community, MOIFA staff, IFAM’s four co-founders, Tom Aageson, Charmay Allred, Charlene Cerny and Judith Espinar, and dozens of donors, volunteers and supporters.
